With the General Election in November quickly approaching, here is some important information that you may need to know about registering to vote.

The general election this year is on November 3rd, but you must register to vote well before that.  The deadline to register to vote is October 13th.  You can print out a paper copy of the registration form here, or pick up a printed copy of the form at the library!  No postage is needed to mail in the registration form.  You may also use this form to declare a name change and change of address.

With the COVID-19 crisis, many people across the USA will be voting by mail this year.  The state of New Jersey has declared that they will mail a ballot to all active, registered voters this year for the General Election.  Mail-in ballots must be postmarked on or before November 3rd to be counted.  You may also turn in ballots at the County Clerk’s office in person, before the close of polls on Election Day.

National Voter Registration Day is coming up on September 22nd and is a great day to register to vote or make any name or address changes.  The library has registration forms available to make it easy to register.  Feel free to come in at any time for a registration form!
