What is Eid?

Eid al Fitr is the celebration of the end of Ramadan and it can last for two or three days. This is one of two major holidays celebrated by Muslims. During the celebrations, many partake in the charity, Zakat al-fitr which is collected before the special prayer service. And it is given to the less fortunate.
