Museum Passes are available!

AVAILABLE AT THE MAIN LIBRARY &

KENNEDY BRANCH LOCATIONS

Guggenheim Museum

Free express admission for up to four adults or students, plus $5 admission for two additional guests. Children under the age of 12 are free. 10% savings at the Guggenheim store.

Newark Museum of Art

Free admission for two adults plus all children (through age 17). Also, a 10 % discount on museum gift shops and cafes.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Each pass included admits 2 adults and all children (17 years old and under).

Children’s Museum of Manhattan

Each pass provides free admission for 4 guests (2 adults + 2 children, or 1 adult + 3 children).

Montclair Art Museum

Each pass admits 2 adults and all children (through age 17).

New York Transit Museum

Each pass admits 2 adults & 4 children (through age 17) plus a code good for $5 off public programs.

Museum of Modern Art

Each pass admits 5 people.

New York Historical Society

Each pass admits 2 adults and 4 children under 18.

Hoboken Historical Museum

Each pass is valid for four (4) people. Discounts on selected Museum gift shop items. Discounts at local merchants.

 

Intrepid Museum

Each pass is 2 adults and 2 children (through age 17). Free access to the Intrepid Museum, Space Shuttle Pavilion and Submarine Growler. Also, guest discount $ 18 for adults, 13 for children and a 10% discount on family memberships.

Storm King Art Center

The pass admits 2 adults and all children living in the same household.

 

Eligibility

North Bergen and Guttenberg residents with an unexpired Adult library card in good standing (no fines or overdue items) can reserve a museum pass. There is a refundable collateral deposit of $20 at the time of pick up.

Reservations
  • Passes can be reserved online with the use of a library card or in person at the library.
  • Passes can be reserved up to 60 days in advance.
  • Patrons may only reserve one pass at a time.
  • Only one pass may be checked out on a card.
  • Patrons may only reserve one pass per museum during a 30-day period.
  • Patrons may only pick up and drop off passes at their designated branches.

Pick Up & Drop Off

MAIN LIBRARY
Loan Period is 3 days (Including Pick Up & Return). There are no renewals.

Pick Up 1st day of loan after 2 PM (Sunday between 3 PM – 4 PM)
Return 3rd day of loan before 12 noon (Sunday between 1 PM – 2 PM)

KENNEDY BRANCH
Loan Period is 3 days (Including Pick Up & Return). There are no renewals.

Weekday Loans:
Pick Up 1st day of loan after 2 PM
Return 3rd day of loan before 12 noon

Weekend Loans (Saturday & Sunday count as 1 day)
Pick Up Friday after 2 PM
Return Monday before 12 noon

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made 24-hours in advance if in person or 48-hours in advance if done online. Failure to cancel a reservation will disqualify patrons from making any reservations for 30 days.

Returns

Passes can be returned in person at the reference desk (Main Library) or front desk (Kennedy Branch) during open hours.

Passes can be returned in the book drop during closed hours, and it is the responsibility of the patron to pick up their refundable collateral deposit when the library is open.

Late Returns and Lost Passes

If the pass is 4 days late or less, there is a late fee of $5 per day, and the patron will be temporarily banned from borrowing museum passes for 30 days.

If the pass is returned after the 4 day grace period, patrons will forfeit their collateral deposit and will be banned from borrowing passes for 60 days.

Patrons who continually return passes late may be subject to suspension from the program.

Lost passes will be subject to replacement costs according to the museum’s policy. Patron will also forfeit their collateral deposit and will be banned from borrowing passes for 60 days.

Patrons who lose more than one pass will be suspended from the program.

THE KENNEDY BRANCH AND GUTTENBERG RESOURCE CENTER WILL CLOSE AT 1 PM ON DECEMBER 24, 2024 AND WILL BE CLOSED ON DECEMBER 25, 2024.

THE MAIN LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC FOR RENOVATION, STARTING ON DECEMBER 21, 2024.
